I really liked the idea of introducing video games at an early stage of life(Dr. Robert Slywester). With parents support and proper screening a good-quality video games can prove to bring a lots of benefits. Some of them are:
- Source of fun and entertainment
- If parents or other kids are participating, teamwork and cooperation is reinforced.
- Make kids tech savvy.
- As the kids master a game their self-confidence and self-esteem boosts up.
- If appropriately chosen, kids can learn reading, math, technology and problem-solving.
But, again I will make a point that there has to be a balance between the technology as well as the other outdoor and fine motor skill learning.
